Women's Ministry
The theme for the 2004 Women’s Ministry was Enough is Enough: Moving from Drama to Divine Order. Our goal was to focus on God’s purpose for our lives and eliminate the chaos and confusion that gets in the way of pursuing God’s highest and best.

Women's Bible Studies

In 2004, 100 women from our congregation and community gathered twice weekly (Thursdays at 12 noon and Wednesdays at 6:30pm) to study the Word. Our emphasis was to discover and work to fulfill our God-given purpose. In addition, the Women’s Bible Study donated $1000 to purchase uniforms for the Cheerleading Squad and Girls’ Basketball Teams at St. James Preparatory School.

Women's Convocation

On May 5-9, 2004, 300 women registered for our first Women’s Convocation. Our theme was Enough is Enough: Moving from Drama to Divine Order. Workshops included “Enough Playing Church,” “Enough Playing the Role,” “Enough Playing the Victim,” and “Enough is Enough.” Rev. Cynthia Hale and Bishop Vashti McKenzie were among the preachers and workshop leaders.

December Social

On December 6, 2004 we hosted our 2nd annual social for the women of our congregation and their friends. The evening began as the women were escorted into a candlelit room decorated in white and gold with our pianist playing music softly in the background. Appetizers were followed by a full buffet dinner and dessert. The women had an opportunity to meet and mingle as the 2005 Women’s Ministry Calendar was unveiled.
